A greener future depends on everyone’s involvement. College Eight provides many opportunities for you to support what is important to you. Each fund is distinct and allows for measurable progress, but integrates with the others to provide for a greater student experience. Core Course Fund Supports the expansion of the pioneering Core Course Wiki, and augments the development of innovative methods for freshman environmental instruction. Venture Fund and the Green Incubator Provides seed funds to student projects developed in the entrepreneurial incubator. College Chairs Create opportunities for students to work closely with cutting edge faculty on environmentally innovative projects by providing faculty with resources to develop dedicated programmatic offerings in the college setting. Partnership Fund Brings leaders from the economic and socially conscious green sector to offer clinics that contribute to the environmental incubator, mentor students, and forge links between the academic and professional arms of the green movement. Fellowship Fund Provides expanded learning opportunities for promising students to engage in unique projects of “discovery.” Mentorship Program Creates opportunities for experts from the region to mentor our undergraduates. Some examples include lectures at College Eight, sabbaticals in college, internship opportunities for our students at firms and organizations, and direct mentorship of students in our Green Incubator, as and when we launch the Venture fund. If you, or any of your friends, would like to contribute to our vision, or have ideas of your own that you’d like to see developed, please do not hesitate to contact us.
