I grew up in Long Beach, CA and went to San Diego State for my undergrad. I got my BA in Political Science at SDSU and was really turned on during my time there to issues of college access working in the admissions office. I worked for one year after graduation at Humboldt State before heading back to SD to work in admissions at the University of San Diego. I did that for three years before ultimately deciding to go back and get my MA in Higher Education with an emphasis on College Student Development at the University of Denver. And here I am, excited to be coming back to California and working with College Eight.
On a more personal note I am a huge fan of sports. I love playing, watching, talking about them, reading about them... love it. I also love to get outdoors, go to the beach, go hiking, and whatever else people are looking to get into. I'm passionate about social justice as well as environmental issues which I think comes through in both my personal and professional lives and look forward to working with students around these topics and continuing my own growth in them as well. |
